Introducing QEPA, the UK's first quality assurance tool for Educational Psychologists, developed by Educational Psychologists to bring all your quality assurance needs into one place.
A partnership approach to quality assuring the statutory Educational Psychology advice that informs children's EHC assessments.
"There is a sense of focus on good practice & strengths, rather than trying to catch errors within the report."
"Made quality assurance straightforward, enabling EPs to focus on specifics."
The QEPA tool was created as part of a pilot program to establish a simple and consistent quality assurance framework that can be easily adopted and accessed remotely by any Educational Psychology Service (EPS).
To ensure that auditors meet audit deadlines, automatic reminders are sent, so you never miss a due date!
By adopting the QEPA tool, your team can expect to gain the following benefits as standard:
To ensure its usefulness and alignment with professional standards, our tool underwent a pilot program with a group of Principal Educational Psychologists and their teams of EPs.
Whilst using the tool, you’ll follow a simple-to-use, step-by-step process, with a standardised quality assurance framework that can be effortlessly adopted and accessed remotely by any EPS.
The tool helps provide you confidence in the reports being sent out from the service that are written by external Associate EPs as well as permanent members of staff.
Your Educational Psychology service can anonymously benchmark your EP performance against other EP Services using the Invision360 tool both regionally & nationally.
Our 'touch of a button' reporting feature makes it far easier to analyse data to inform EP service development plans and improvement cycles.
Collate and analyse feedback from users, including children, young-people, parents, and carers, after engaging with an educational psychologist through a user-friendly feedback loop.
There is an abundance of quantitative data within our tools that LAs are utilising to demonstrate higher quality performance as a result of using Invision360 audit tools.
Invision360 has been cited and referenced in numerous Ofsted and CQC inspection outcome reports due to the positive progress local areas are making and the considerable improvements they have observed following implementation.
In June 2023, Invision360, in partnership with Stockton Borough Council, won the prestigious MJ award for digital transformation; this was a direct result of the positive impact demonstrated following the implementation of the Invision360 tools.

Personal data is defined by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) as information relating to natural persons who can be identified or who are identifiable, directly from the information in question; or who can be indirectly identified from that information in combination with other information. Under the ICO definition, we store two forms of personal data:
• The name of a user as it is entered onto the platform
• The email address of a user as it is entered onto the platform.
We apply and regularly review appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data. This includes ensuring data is kept in a highly available state by replicating it across geographically distinct, physical data centres based in the UK. This ensures that in the unlikely event of one of our data centres suffering an outage, our systems can ‘flip’ to a different data centre. When we test these failover scenarios it takes - on average - 30 seconds to complete.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Our internal access policies set out who at Invision360 can access your data, and we’ll only do so as part of a support request or maintenance. We apply principles of least access across all levels.
Yes, our quality assurance tools align with case management systems.
Quality Educational Psychology Advice
In a nutshell, supporting Educational Psychology Services to quality assure and audit the statutory advice being submitted by their service.
Ensuring a robust and insightful quality assurance frame work is in place across an EP service is not an easy task; however, is integral to any high performing EP team / service.
Invision360 QEPA tool provides a framework for all EP Services across the UK to ensure high quality statutory advice is consistently being produced.
The new EPS workforce insights published in June 2023 highlights some key challenges the EP profession is facing.
88% of LA Principal EPs reported that they were currently experiencing difficulties recruiting and there is not enough capacity to meet demand for their services.
As the number of EHCPs continues to rise nationally, more and more EP Services are having to utilise external capacity /resource to support the statutory demands.
This is why, with a number of LA partners, Invision360 has developed a new EP statutory advice digital audit tool, to help EP Services to embed an efficient and robust internal QA process.
Across the country EP Services are increasingly experiencing a hybrid workforce, with a combination of permanent EPs, Agency EPs, Trainee EPs and Assistant EP producing or contributing to statutory advice; having one tool that can promote consistency and quality, is key in the current landscape.
The Invision360 QEPA tool provides a platform that is efficient, easy to implement, based on standardised criteria and supports greater consistency and quality with regards to Educational Psychology statutory advice.

Working with four EP Services, the QEPA tool was developed, piloted and refined.
This group accessed existing QA criteria, drawn from a large number of existing manual QA frameworks that EP Services across the country are using.
